Bankman-Fried explored paying Donald Trump not to run for president
Former billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, who is currently in jail, considered paying former President Donald Trump to not run for re-election in 2020, according to an excerpt from Michael Lewis' forthcoming book. Bankman-Fried had planned to give millions of dollars to Republican Senator Mitch McConnell to defeat "Trumpier" candidates in Senate races.
